Use of Time
Overall we feel that we used our time in a reasonably efficient way. Our work method involves a lot of well placed breaks which allow us to relax and refocus on the task at hand. This method although questioned by teachers allowed us to be extremely successful with our wind turbine construction.
Conclusion + Analysis
Overall, as mentioned in the results section, we felt we did quite well as a group with good chemistry and the performance of our wind turbine reflects that. In terms of critiquing our turbine there are two things we feel we can improve on for our next construction venture.
Mr. Hughes allowed us to use a max of five gears; we ended up using two. Essentially what this means is we could have made a larger wind turbine and used more gears to transform the torque created into energy and faster RPS (rotations per second) using various gear formations with several gears.
Our turbine had a lack of colour and stylish artwork in terms of its decoration. Although we incorporated this fact with our branding and logo, we think that it would be a universal opinion that white colour would make the turbine look more professional.
